Directions
From Rome
Exit A1 at Orte, towards Perugia, taking the E45. When you reach near Perugia, specifically after the Balanzano exit, follow the direction towards Cesena, and then take the Ponte Pattoli exit.
From Florence
Exit A1 at Valdichiana, heading towards Perugia.
After the Piscille exit, follow E45 towards Cesena and take the Ponte Pattoli exit.
From Cesena
Exit E45 at Ponte Pattoli. Pay attention not to take the Resina exit. Continue towards the Ponte Pattoli exit
From the Ponte Pattoli exit, follow the signs indicating S. Cristina and Casa del Diavolo.
Arriving at the first intersection with a corner bar on the right, take the slightly right-shifted road in front, where there is the delicatessen and tobacconist. At the beginning of the road, you will see signs for Santa Cristina and Civitella Benazzone.
Continue on this uphill road, following the arrows for S. Cristina and Morleschio at the first fork.
Follow this country road for about 10 km until you encounter the restaurant "La Dolce Vita" on the right.
At this point, you're almost there, even though you might think you'll never make it...!
After "La Dolce Vita" restaurant, continue following the main road for another approximately 4 km, without being misled by various side streets, until you see a low concrete wall with an electrical cabin.
After two bends to your right, you'll find a wooden sign indicating "Borgo di Carpiano". The narrow road is between two stone houses, one with a tobacconist's sign and an old public telephone signal.
Continue past another group of houses; the road becomes unpaved at this point, but keep going... you only have another kilometer to reach your destination!
At this point, if you've arrived without getting lost, it means you have a bit of English spirit, as they are the only ones who manage to arrive without making calls along the way...!
One last thing, ignore the tobacconist's sign at "La Dolce Vita"...

After about 10 km, you will find on your right the signs for S. Cristina and also a small arrow for Carpiano.
Turn right onto this country road with few scattered houses and follow it for about 5 km until you find a yellow house on your left with a tobacco sign and an old telephone signal.
Immediately after this house on the left, you will find a small road with a wooden sign indicating "Borgo di Carpiano".
Be careful because the sign is visible at the last moment!
